Affordable Supply Company was started in 1993 by Dave Kolbe and Jay Amburgey. We found there to be a great need for funeral directors to be able to purchase their items from someone they knew and trusted. Between us, we combine over 40 years of serving funeral homes with our sales experience. The goal of ASCO is to offer funeral supply products at affordable prices. Along with our vendor partners, we strive to service our customers unlike anyone else.

Jay Amburgey has been involved in the funeral business since 1978. He is a 1984 graduate of The Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He is a licensed funeral director and embalmer in the state of Ohio. He is also a member of The Ohio Funeral Directors Association, Third District Ohio Funeral Directors Association, The Indiana Funeral Sales Club, member and past president of the Ohio Funeral Supply Sales Club, and the West Virginia Sales Club.
He began his career in sales in 1990 with the Royal Garment Company. He then formed a partnership with Dave Kolbe in 1993 to start Affordable Supply Company and joined the ranks of Messenger Corporation in 1999.
Dave Kolbe has been involved in the funeral business since 1976. He is a 1981 graduate of The Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, and a 1980 graduate of Bowling Green State University. He is a licensed funeral director and embalmer in the state of Ohio. He is also a member of The Ohio Funeral Directors Association, Third and Ninth Districts Ohio Funeral Directors Association, member and past president of the Ohio Funeral Supply Sales Club, and the Kentucky Funeral Supply Sales Club. Dave is currently a Foundation Member and Past 10 year Member of the Board of Trustees at The Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science.
He began his career in sales in 1989 with Messenger Corporation, and represents Messenger LLC currently in over 75 counties in Ohio and Kentucky. He joined forces with Jay Amburgey in 1993 to start Affordable Supply Company, and also represents American Coach Sales, Cleveland, Ohio in the professional vehicle business.
